Enyi-K, Stage Name

Enyi-K, also Kennedy Ng, was born on May 30 1961. He is a pianist, conductor and composer from Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. Born into a musical family Enyi has started his musical journey from a young age. As his mother enrolled him into a musical elemantery school in Dominican Republic. 

 

As of recently, in 2016, Enyi-K composed his Evolution Symphony No1. He unified Merengue and Latin music with classical music, the first symphony in its genre. He recorded with the Prague Philharmonic string's session. The evolution was released on Dec. 11, 2016 and the following year he was honored by Univision 41 NY as Orgullo Dominicano and a special program was released about his work. With his accomplishments, he was nominated as the best musical arranger at the Premio's Soberano International Awards in 2018, Dominican Republic. 

Performed in: 

- Segundo Festival del Merengue at Radio City Music Hall 1978

- The White House in 1981 for Cuban independence day

 

He has performed with:

Tito Puente, Celia Cruz, Johnny Pacheco, Ray Barreto, Cuco Valoy, Johnny Ventura, Jos Jos, Piero, Danny Daniel, Rocio Jurado, Los Panchos, Rolando la Serie, Roberto Ledesma, and Vicentico Valdez.

Became a professional voting member of the American Grammy Recording Academy, EMMY NATAS Awards, and the Latin Recording Academy.
